Ten Campaign Research Steps

Repeat the following process until your timeline ends.

  1. Turn general questions into research questions. Get specific, make a list.
  2. Prioritize the research questions.
  3. Identify which questions you and your organization can already answer, in part or in full.
  4. Brainstorm other sources of information.
  5. Set a timeline.
  6. Assign responsibility.
  7. Do research.
  8. Report back, assess findings.
  9. Apply the new knowledge.
  10. Form new questions, and start over.
