Citizens' Environmental Coalition: Stop
Toxic Colors
Eastman Kodak, a multinational corporation
with headquarters in Rochester, New York is the state's
number one manufacturing polluter. Kodak has a long history
of environmental violations, contamination of the Rochester
community, dumping of hazardous wastes in Kodak Park, and
advocacy for the weakening of environmental regulations.
The Citizens' Environmental Coalition has
launched a corporate environmental accountability campaign
for Kodak in response to the Rochester area's devastating
children's cancer rates, increased calls from concerned
citizens and media sources, and the alarming results of
the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Draft Dioxin
Reassessment report.
Citizens' Environmental Coalition has been
conducting a national advertising campaign against Kodak.
The group is also working on a report on how to close the
production loop including closing the incinerators.
Recently the DataCenter provided research
on Kodak's strategic direction and key product distributors
for the campaign. The Citizens' Environmental Coalition
is using the research to decide how to pressure Kodak.
